About Kasturba Medical College

Kasturba Medical College Campus

Founded in 1953 by the visionary Dr. T. M. A. Pai, Kasturba Medical College (KMC) in Manipal, Karnataka has grown to become one of India's most respected medical institutions. Affiliated with the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), KMC is recognized by the Medical Council of India and listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools.

The college is named after Kasturba Gandhi, the wife of Mahatma Gandhi, reflecting our commitment to service and compassion. Over seven decades, KMC has established a legacy of excellence in medical education, research, and healthcare delivery, serving communities across Karnataka and beyond.

Undergraduate Programs

Our MBBS program admits 250 students annually through NEET-UG. The 5.5-year curriculum includes early clinical exposure, integrated teaching, and community postings. The program is recognized by MCI and follows competency-based medical education.

Postgraduate Programs

We offer 50+ MD/MS programs across clinical specialties with 400+ PG seats. Admission through NEET-PG. Programs include structured training, thesis research, and teaching responsibilities.

Super Specialty Programs

DM/MCh programs in Cardiology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, and 8 other super-specialties. These 3-year programs provide advanced training in sub-specialized fields.

PhD Programs
